Hi, DD2 who turns 3 next month has totally refused potty training every time we have tried.
This is the first time I've dealt with this - her older siblings have been fine. I did everything they say you should do - she helped decorate the potty, gentle encouragement, letting her sit on the potty and read stories.
At first she didn't mind it but now she totally refuses the potty. I don't get upset with her, just ask if she would like to sit on it. And have put it away for weeks at a time and tried again.
But now if she's not wearing a nappy she will just cry and shout 'Put a nappy on me! No potty!' if she has to do a wee.
She's starting nursery in 6 months. Not pushing it at all, just not sure how to reverse this seeming aversion to all things potty related.
