So last night we let her wander without her nappy on. Gave her lots of praise when she sat on the potty. And it was great when I saw her running to the bathroom, but didn't quite get there in time.

Problem is, she knows that the toilet is for going for wees, but hates sitting on it, without or without the toddler seat. And she's quite happy to sit on the potty, but refuses to believe that it's used for wees etc!!

She's obviously ready, which has taken me by surprise as still young and very quick, but she's uncomfortable when in a dirty nappy and tells me when she's been. It's just how to get her comfortable with the toilet??

What sort of seat do you have.

I had a plastic seat for DS but he wouldn't use it, so I bought a new one which was soft/padded and had fish on it. He loved it and it solved the problem for us. He was about the same age too.

A friend of mine had the same problem with her dd, so she demonstrated.........yes, she weed on the potty herself to show her dd, and it worked!!!
