I had a bug thing yesterday and was out of sorts D&V type thing, DS woke up this am with v v bad nappy rash - wasn't like it last night. anyhoo, this am he was screaming and writhering when I put the wipes over him to clean off the mornings poop (was yellowy but not too bad) anyhow left nappy off after this, this afternoon after nap took the nappy off again and he's done 2 poops in the space of about 5 mins, one pastey pale yellow the other bright yellow - surely that's not right?? he's now stood in the bath and is happily noisey etc again! this am & prior to his two poops was v subdude.

anyhow what else can I do? I have cream but really wanted to leave the nappy off him but can't if he's got an upset tum.

he's 2 btw.

If any of my DS have nappy rash and are sore, i find putting them in the bath with some salt in really helps (not too much or it'll sting)

I put DS in a bath with no water just a towel and let him crawl about for a while. If you slap LOADS of sudocrem on bottom it usually helps, overnight is best time to apply it, works for us anyway. Hope it gets better soon.

The BEST bum cream is metanium. its yellow and it's 100 x better than sudocrem when nappy rash is bad. Clears it up incredibly quickly. Get it from chemists.

that's what i've got thanks man, used it last night and it's gone right down today. on the plus side yesterday (after he pooed on my carpets twice - lovely eh! lol) but at least he told me for the third time - pooppy, tinkle tinkle mummy! so sat him on the loo and he went - not sure if that means he's ready for potty training or not lol.

but he's my baby!!!! my baby doesn't need the potty! lol.

am going to get the potty out and leave his nappy off for a bit and see what happens. he's had the nappy back on and not told me since that he's gone in his nappy so not sure if he's ready after all.
