We went to soft play yesterday and had to walk out as it was totally stowed 🤣

This is my first Christmas break with two small children, so I need inspiration in what to do over the next few days before eldest goes back to nursery!

Thank you!

What craft stuff do you have?

We are in the middle of doing our kitchen diner and had to keep my 3yo away from daddy and the mess over Christmas. One day I took some of the spare lining paper and made a 4ft square sheet of paper and got out all the paint and pens we had. With having so much paper to go at all in one go she stay occupied for much longer than a single sheet at a time and we were there all afternoon!

My DC could sit for hours with play dough at nursery age. They loved making pretend food and we would get the Barbies to ‘eat’ it.

Arts and crafts stuff was also a winner.

Winter walk in the park or a play farm if the weather is ok.

Also baking cookies and cupcakes was a favourite with mine at nursery age.

A treasure hunt is brilliant at any stage up to the top of primary. You write the list of about 20 things based on what is in your local area and how hard/easy you want it to be, and either do a physical hunt (feather, pine cone, stone etc etc) or a photo hunt (clock, bird, barber's pole etc etc). Prize: hot chocolate when you get home.

I got her a play kitchen for her Christmas and an easel with all the paints etc so I can fish that out over the weekend! Good thinking. Was trying to avoid that as we've moved into our new home 🤣 but can also put an old sheet down!
