3yo doesn't seem to like me

I am looking for some perspective on this if anyone else has experienced the same. I am a SAHM to a nearly 4 year old and nearly 2 year old. I have been at home since my DD1 was born. I EBF my first until approx 15 months, i had to stop for my mental health as she was an extremely bad sleeper. It varied from waking every 45 minutes to sometimes every 2/3 hours. I am still breastfeeding my DD2.

Anyway towards the end of my second pregnancy I slept in a separate bedroom to get some proper sleep and my partner took over night time duties. This has continued since then. He still puts her to bed and i put DD2 to bed. DD1 is extremely rigid about bedtime and if I try to put her down she screams non stop. Not only this but if she wakes she will not let me settle her only DP.

She definitely has a strong preference for my DP over me. If she falls over she wants daddy for comfort. She wants daddy to sit by her. She wants daddy to play. I really don't know what I am doing wrong. It doesn't seem to just be a phase either as this is going on for 2 years. She just prefer him. Has anyone experienced the same? It's making me very sad really.

You are not alone I could write a similar post. I don’t have much advice to offer just sympathy. I’m not taking it too personally and still hold out hope it’s just a phase…!

@Loulou377 I'm sorry you are going through the same. I try to not take it personally also. I'm usually just accepting of it but it definitely plays on my mind a lot. Worried did I do something wrong that she doesn't look to me for comfort. It's almost feels like the roles are reversed and she sees DP more like mommy than daddy, if you know what I mean.
