Swapping night milk with water

When did everyone start swapping bottles of milk with water?

I have an absolutely horrendous sleeper but I’m worried about her teeth. She still wants a bottle of milk in the middle of the night but I’m certain it’s not for calories and more for comfort because some nights she might only take 30/40ml.

I would try to wean off needing the bottle but after waking every 1-2 hours all night and it being the difference between getting her back to sleep at 4am or her starting her day, I’d rather just give her a bottle.

Shes 12 months, drinking 5oz of milk in the morning and at night plus 3 meals and snacks inbetween.

My baby is 16 months and has milk in the night (probably around 3 or 4am) but then she doesn't have any in the 'morning' so I guess it evens out? She is also a terrible sleeper so anything to help us sleep better is a winner Grin
