Babysitting - Parents & In Laws

I have a 6 month old baby (my first) and have only left him a couple of times (max 2-3 hours) with my Mum at the moment. Whilst he's so young I've not wanted to leave him for long. It's starting to get to the point where we have things coming up this year that we need childcare for (weddings - keeping in touch days at work etc) and I've realised I'm feeling quite nervous about my in laws looking after him. I have a great relationship with them but I just feel a lot more comfortable with my own Mum & Dad looking after him. Perhaps it's because I can be more honest with them. Is this normal? Any tips for feeling more relaxed about childcare?

@dancingzebra this is normal. it is natural for girls to include their parents more in babysitting.

It’s a completely normal feeling, I was exactly the same even though I new my MIL would be absolutely fine with DD. The first time she had her I just bit my tongue and dealt with the worry even though I wasn’t happy. After this I was fine :)
