Gaviscon infant help!

Hey, my son has been on gaviscon for a week now and it seems to be helping him, but... he's still very sick after the feeds that don't have gaviscon in. The pack says only 6 doses a day, but can I do half doses on some so he can have some with every feed? It's heartbreaking seeing him in so much pain and bringing up a lot of milk, plus he's much harder to settle after those feeds. Any advice would be great!

You can use other thickers I think, ask your GP - carobel, thickneasy and magic mix are other thickeners but i only really have experience gaviscon. My daughter was breastfeed and at her peak she had 9 half sachets a day with every day time feed essentially prescribed by the paediatrician. I would look into omperazole too and be mindful of cmpa if it doesn't respond to treatment

When my son had really bad reflux and colic we used gaviscon, carobel and infacol. The concoction seemed to work well and one day he just got over it and was fine. He's 18 months now.
