Hi just want to get peoples feeling and to tell me if im being silly. I have a nearly 3 year old and they are in nursery 2 days a week, 2 day with my husband, 1 day with my mum and 1 day with me. I currently work 4days in a college but next week will be starting a new 5 day job so my child will be doing nursery for 3 days. I feel so guilty about it and not havin our day together it makes me cry. How do you full time working paremts feel about it, i cant help but feel so bad. I know nusery had helped him so much but i will miss him so much on the day i dont have with him.
Just need slto see how others feel, im know im lucky to have time with him but csnt help feeling really fuilty and bad.

I haven't finished maternity leave yet but I am absolutely dreading returning to work!! I'm going to miss my little man sooo much and I feel overwhelming guilt that I am missing him growing up and missing precious time with him. I have no advice as I feel the same, just wanted to let you know that it's probably normal to feel this way. Just remind yourself that you are working so that you can give him a good life, that's what I'm going to tell myself to get me through it.

Don’t you have the weekend?

Also, it’s not voluntary work you are doing, you obviously have to work so there is no point feeling guilty. Working 4 days is brilliant and I’m sorry you are losing your extra day with your baby.
i misread your post at first and thought you had no days together, sorry about that.
