really looking for some advice on how people managed to lose weight after having baby?
I feel like I just have no time to exercise and when I do get the odd 10 mins, I am absolutely knackered and could think of nothing worse than doing a hiit session when I’m exhausted.
before I had baby I was fairly active, went for walks every lunch time and then done some sort of cardio and Pilates in the evenings, well at least 4 times a week. I did also go to gym classes most days as well, body pump, circuits, etc. i was also one of those really annoying people you would not want to invite out as I ate no dairy, no meat, no sugar, no alcohol, (no fun!). That all went out the window when pregnancy hit (apart from the sugar and alcohol) and I needed to ensure baby had enough from my diet.
I was a 6-8 sizing and everyone used to comment at how tiny I was. Now, I’m a size 10-12, hips are wider than before baby, and although I didn’t put much (if any) weight on during my pregnancy, where my belly has stretched its now flabber than before, as I was very toned previously.
since baby arrived all I’ve done is eat crap unfortunately. Well, maybe not crap crap, but my sugar intake is higher (mostly because of Christmas), dinners are more carby and anything that is a quick fix, because I don’t have time to faff around with the dinners I used to. I know I need to sort the diet situation in order to lose weight so thinkung if starting hello fresh, but it’s the exercise that I’m struggling with more than anything.
no motivation to go for walks when the weather is crap which is most days this time of year but I do still try a couple days a week. I don’t just sit on my arse at home I am running around tidying, cleaning etc, but I’m no where near as active as I used to be. Originally agreed with DP that when he gets in from work I could do some workouts while he tended to baby, but he gets in around 7pm, so between cooking, eating dinner, cleaning up, sterilising bottles, getting baby ready for bed, and all the other remaining house chores, I just feel like I don’t have the time or the energy.
i really want to get back to being smaller than I am now and also to exercise for my own sanity as I do love how I feel afterwards. I know I might not go back to the 6-8 sizes I was before but I really do want to lose some of this weight. How the HELL do women do everything and still find time to cook lovely healthy dinners, AND exercise…. Help meeeee!!!!
