Wrapping presents from Santa?

DS is 4 and we have a 10 month old baby just wondering if anyone wraps presents from Santa? We wrapped last year and found DS wanted to stop and play with a toy once opened so left a pile unwrapped. This year we've left them unwrapped but now I'm panicking we should have wrapped them!! Don't know what to do

Mostly wrapped: some unwrapped in the stocking, all wrapped under the tree.

We found the same with my little one last year (then age 2) but didn't see any need to insist they had to all be opened on Christmas day. My little one opened gifts for about 3 days and got to enjoy them all at their own pace. We'll do the same this year.

Wrapped unless it's something big that's more wow if left unwrapped like a bike or dolls house.

I wouldn't think it matters if it takes them days to unwrap them although we don't get DS that many gifts so can't see it taking that long even if he stops to play with them in-between.

Yep all wrapped. The present from Santa has different wrapping paper. Wouldn't have occurred to me not to wrap them?

I'm not sure I understand.dD opened a present off Santa and wanted to play with it so you're contemplating leaving them unwrapped?

Surely a. She'll just get to them quicker and still want to play with them b. The ones off you and family will still be wrapped so still same situation.

I'd wrap it all, and just let her go at her own pace. So what of it takes 3 days (our record)

Santa doesn’t wrap. Unwrapped in the stocking and one of those paper gift bags for the overflow/bigger stuff.

No wrapping from Father Christmas

climbershell · 24/12/2023 23:38

Yup wrapped. Just turned 2yr old has about 6 little gifts wrapped up in her stocking

Everything is wrap and everything is from Santa

BlazingWorld · 24/12/2023 23:50

Never wrap stocking presents, nor were they wrapped when I was little.

Heyhoherewegoagain · 24/12/2023 23:50

I’d never NOT wrap a present!

Id like it if they stopped to play with something rather than just had a frenzy amongst everything unwrapped

I always wrapped everything. Otherwise, it's shit in a bag, the wrapping makes it interesting for the small things and prolongs the excitement for the big stuff.

As opposed to wrapped up shit in a bag?

Stop buying shit then?

Never wrapped gifts from Santa, only from us.
