Anyone else feel just too tired to have gone out for dinner tonight?

Ok, so ds (3) has had chicken pox all week and dd (7m) is sickening for it with a fever. I've been up with them at least twice every night for longer than I can remember and ds is never a great sleeper at the best of times.

So tonight some of dh friends had invited us and another couple over for dinner. I am just too tired to possibly enjoy it and have refused to go, though I know that's really bad. Dh is fuming about it. He's just gone on is own.

Just wanted to offload about it, I guess. I just feel like crying, I wish DH could be a bit more understanding of how hard it is to be a full time Mum (am still on mat leave). I know he is stressed about his business at the mo. I don't think men understand just how tired one can get. ???

Aww, beaksy, you've had a tough week! hope yo ur los are a bit better tonight? I have one ds aged 19mths and we are frequently too tired to move from the sofa! Anyway, your friends should be grateful. If your los have the dreaded chickenpox yo ucan carry the germs on your clothes, so they would be at risk. So there!

Ah thanks, Chicky. Made me smile with "so there!" Yeah, they're both in bed now, but ds was playing up cos today is the first day without a nap since chickenpox started and he was sooo tired.

Then dh walks out the door saying "you've let me down badly by not coming...."
Great Makes me angry and sad.

Why is it all demands on me?
