What is the best qualification for someone who has been managing staff for some time, but wants to move on. They do not have a degree, just 15 years of managing, appraisals, disciplinarys etc. A friend of mine has found that without some sort of formal training, it's not possible to move on.

Our old office manager did a CIPD which is respected in the HR field - it took her about a year or just under I think.

And, yes, I want to know what employers will look for and don't want to tell them to go on the wrong course.
