Leg pain

Every afternoon/ evening/ middle of sleep my DS who will soon turn 3 complains of leg pains. My DH has noticed a few times his leg is cramping. We give him the vitamin supplements and he's overall fine. It's just that he keeps complaining about pain in his leg particularly in the calf of both legs. Should I be worried and talk to GP?

DS is a happy healthy child. Eats his veggies, drinks water. He's very active and jumps around a lot.

what is your response when he does complain?

Could it be growing pains? I used to get them in my knees and they were worse at night

I’m tall for a woman (6foot) and I always used to get growing pains in my lower legs and occasionally thighs and knees. Our son is tall too and he’s had them all through his childhood from about that age. You could take him to the doctors to be on the safe side but sounds like growing pains.

I massage his legs or DH does. He asks for massages. Nothing beyond.

Quite possibly… he loves the 1-2-1 with his mum/dad with his legs being massaged. Especially if at bedtime!
