UTI in 6 month old?

Hello, FTM here and not sure if I am panicking but advise appreciated please!

baby girl went to sleep last night at 7:30pm and woke up around 9pm really upset. We settled her back to sleep eventually and then she woke again at 12:30 so I did her a bottle as normal. Also noticed her nappy was heavy so I changed her to find she’d done a poo. She also had a temperate of 37.8 and was very upset again. Now im worried that she’d originally done a poo when she woke the first time and we didn’t change her so would this have resulted in a UTI (would the fever have come on this quick?). She still has a fever this morning, also irritable but just had a full bottle as normal . No nappy rash atm.

im now kicking myself that I didn’t check her nappy at 9pm but we never usually do a nappy change overnight for wet nappies, and she didn’t smell or nappy feel heavy so I’m not even sure she had pooed at that point? I am just wondering what the symptoms would be and how long you would wait before ringing docs.
