New baby now toddler not sleeping

First time posting so please excuse my lack of knowledge on the shorthands and my poor grammer. We have 2 daughters, oldest is three and the youngest is just over a week old.
Our oldest now will not sleep through the night at our house (she will if she's at my parents). Before the baby, oldest would come sleep in the bed with me- my husband is a light sleeper so he more often than not ends up in the spare room. So basically older daughter is used to being with me when she falls asleep/ sleeping in with me. I've no issue with co sleeping and would have no issue continuing if that was the way to go. Problem is new baby wont be put down in her bassinet for the whole night. We are working on that and I know it will come. I'm breast feeding, so following all the precautions she does sleep some of the night on the bed. Due to this I can't co sleep with my 3 year old in the bed. My husband has been willing to sleep in with the 3 year old, but she doesn't care. I get the feeling she wants us all in the same room. She goes to sleep fine. She had been waking up about 2.30. I can get her back to sleep in our room but then I have to stay up and hold the baby whilst she's in the bed. I feel like the worst mum ever, that I've not set my toddler up to adjust easily. If anyone has any similar experience or advice to let her sleep through again I'd really appreciate it
