I’d you cuddled DC to sleep when did you stop?

If you helped your child fall asleep by cuddling (before transferring to their cot once asleep) at what age did you stop? Did your child start wanting to fall asleep independently or did you do some sort of sleep training?

6 or 7 for dd, we didn't both fit in the bunk bed. I'll sit with her now most nights at 10, it's nice, we chat and reconnect. Ds is nearly 7, he says he loves the feeling of falling asleep and I'll get in and cuddle him for a bit but he drops off if I need to get up. Ds might wake up and come in with me, dd almost never does.

My 7 year old still asks to be cuddled, but my 4yo is about 50/50 and will often kick me out of her bed & tell me to lie on the floor. Both raised exactly the same, DD's just got more of an independent nature.
