3 weeks diarrhea

My 2 year old caught I bug from nursery 3 weeks ago and still has diarrhea! Very watery fine in him self eating drinking fine have sent a stool sample off but won't get it back until Tuesday, has anyone else experienced this ? Did you get given medication? I have been giving diarlyte but it's just never ending !

Try probiotics/kefir yoghurt, his gut bacteria have been disrupted/eliminated so this may help stop diarrhoea & replace essential gut flora

Would be interested to hear how you got on. My little one is passing one watery/loose stool a day for 5 days now. Just before Christmas great! But they are fine in themselves just not eating as much. Will try probiotics as well.

Stool sample came back negative, gp told me to give up all milk for a month it has worked tbf but a nightmare diet especially before Christmas!
