Formula & breastmilk feeds

Hi, I’m new here, so sorry if this sounds silly, please bear with the long post.
My baby is 9 months old next week (1st time mum), I’ve exclusively expressed BM from day 3 and bottle fed, but he’s slowly gone off of my milk and been taking less each feed, so I’ve had to feed him more bottles each day to get to the 25/30 oz he usually has (his Dr assumed it was from him being poorly recently) it occurred to me today to check the milk and it tastes soapy. I think it’s high Lipase so I’ve decided to feed each bottle half and half BM & formula as he is going to start nursery soon anyway so formula will be easier plus I’m trying to wind down pumping to stop when he’s one.

Does anyone feed their LO half & half? How do you make a bottle? How do you prepare the formula, do you mix both hot? I’ve scoured online and I can’t make any sense of it.

Thank you for any help.

When I needed to do this, I used the ready made formula (warmed in baby bottle in a jug of hot water) then topped up to the amount of mls required with my pumped milk. If it needed warming then did so on stovetop. I was once warmed them together but it gave me anxiety in case they didn't mix well/each part heat properly Well done on 9 months of pumping. It is gruelling but your child will have received all the benefit of your hard work.
