Any advice would be much appreciated. My 9 month old is currently eating 3 meals a day and breastfeeding up to 8 times a day and 3 times a night. It just feels like so much and I am due back to work in Feb! Definitely feel like I am doing something wrong!

Any advice to wean him down would be much appreciated!

Both mine were keen for loads of breastmilk at that age, but one would take a bottle by then. I think its fine to introduce some formula at this age, but get that's a personal choice. Might not be an option, 2nd DC never took a bottle. He nearly killed me...or so it felt at the time!

😂😂
Someone will be along soon with practical advice but just to say I'm still feeding a 3 year old who absolutely asks for boob this many times in a day and also feeding a 1 year old who is a probably a little less interested than the 3 year old but still feeds more time than I can count.

Mine was formula fed but didn’t drop her milk intake until almost 10 months. At around 10 months you can try to start prioritising food and making sure there is a gap between milk feeds and solid food.

Very normal I have been told! My baby is 9 months and ebf. He feeds on average 10 times in 24 hours, which includes 2-3 night feeds. I’m back to work at the beginning of March and have been told they are fine to drink water/ eat solids when not with you by that point and they will make up the milk feeds when with you (if you choose to carry on breastfeeding). My little one refuses a bottle and we’re working on a cup with him but it’s hit and miss! He just wants boob 🤦🏻‍♀️

Both mine were the same. They have outstanding immune systems now!
