Does teething change their poo?

Hi everyone, my 5 month old is EBF and up until a week or two ago, had bright yellow poo, 1-3 times a day, nothing during the night since he was about 6-8 weeks old.

Recently his poos have been greeny yellow, look more mucusy, are more frequent, they smell different, and worst of all he has been pooing in the night again once or twice when he’s half asleep which is really disruptive as I have to get him up to change him. We were making good progress with sleep before this.

He is completely fine in himself, very cheerful, very content and playful, feeding well.

my question is, is it teething that has caused this or something else? I can’t find anything definitive online.

he has no teeth that I can see but he’s biting everything like mad and drooling lots. I don’t want to miss if this is something more serious but he has no other signs of illness. I’m just exhausted from the nights and want to get to the bottom of it.

Yes tends to make poo green and smell like fruity vinegar if that makes sense X

Teething makes them dribble more, they swallow that and it's a bit acidic (I think) so can give them splatty poos.

Yes absolutely
Saliva changes to become more acidic to help soften gums which causes offensive poos and sore bums. ☹

Yes. Teething poos are the worst 😷

Yeah acid poos. Horrible things. They can get so sore bum area with it.

Yes teething and runny nose poos are worse than my daughters allergy poos

You could time DS’s teeth erupting by the vinegar poos.
