12 month height

My 12 month baby had her height measured at her year check and she’s not very tall…..

Interested to hear from others if their babies one year height correlated with their adult / older height?

I’ve heard about two years height measurement being useful

My daughter was 25th percentile for length at 1 but by 2 had dropped to the 1st percentile for heights. She is now following the 1-2 percentile lines. Her doctors aren't worried. I'm only 5ft2 though although dad is 6ft.
Her percentile height will put her slightly below me at 5f-5ft 1. If we do the chart for combining mum and dad's percentile she's quite a bit lower. I got my shortness from my dad who's only 5ft4 but he was 3 month prem and always small.

Length is notoriously difficult to measure which is why it isn't standard to measure during health checks unless there is a need. My daughter had two lengths 3 weeks apart both taken at the hospital and she lost 4cm in those 3 weeks! Unlikely one or both of the measures were poor

Thanks. To be honest me and DH both aren’t that tall. If she stays on her current Height tracker she will be 5 foot one
