Free toys for Christmas

Hello, I need some advice. I have lots of used toys some of which were hardly ever touched that I would love to donate a family for Christmas.
I don't want to take it to a charity shop for people to then be charged for it but I worry popping it online might just get someone to collect them to resell.

You hear so many stories of struggling families especially over Christmas. I'd love to help if I could. Any ideas the best way?

There will be something local to you that will take and share them, check eg your local Facebook

BabyCentre did have a page for this where you could talk to other parents and give to their children. Have a browse not sure if it's still on there! I haven't used the site in a while

Or Salvation Army

The Salvation Army will distribute these sorts of donations.

A local children's centre will have families who they can donate the toys to. They will also have links with refuges etc

I donate my kid's things to my local women's refuge centre (found the contact details on my local authority's website). When fleeing domestic violence it's unfortunately very common for women and their children to arrive at the shelter with nothing, so some good quality clothes and toys can make all the difference. They will only do pick up in a public place (we use the local supermarket car park), as the location of the centre is kept secret for the women's safety, but they've always been enormously grateful for every donation I've made

Thank you very much that's a lovely idea
