"I don't like my potty" from ds 2.11. What to do?

Ds is 2 years 11 months. He is still in nappies, although he agrees reluctantly to sit on his potty before his bath every night - but only then! If I suggest it at any other time of day, he gets cross and shouts "I don't like my potty!"

I'm not sure if he knows what the potty is for, or whether he has much control. Sometimes something happens on the potty, but more often it doesn't. I do what the books say and give him lots of praise if we get a wee in the potty, but it doesn't seem to have much effect.

What should I do? Is there anything I can do, or is just a question of waiting till he is ready? About when he starts his GCSEs perhaps??!

Umm, no. That would not be me with the biggest salary in the western hemisphere.

I know of two local celeb male authors - one older/heartwarming/populist, one lord of crime. So many more starbucks opportunities!

Also v. proud that I manage all this celeb neighbourliness while actually living in a scabby hovel down the road - just beyond poshland...

Corr blimey, you are working for the paps non? I am only aware of the crime lord.

I have never made a canape in my whole life and I don't understand mental arithmetic so I reckon I am trailer trash too.

Oh just name names - got me all interested nosey!

I got some spiderman stickers from a garden centre and some bob builder ones from the front of a comic (removed them quickly before he could have them all!)

I'm also going to wait till summer so he can walk around and happily wee over the garden!
