Generally speaking do children around 7.5 years old believe in Santa? This would be year 2 in school. Generally speaking! I know some children will learn older/younger than others of course

In Y2 my son and most of his classmates believed, although we live in East London so a good handful of families don't do Santa Claus, and those children were fully going around saying "Santa does not EXIST. He is a LEGEND."

In Y3 there was a lot of chat and debate about it, especially from those with older siblings, but my son still erred on the side of believing (albeit with questions). This year, in Y4 so age 8 or 9, there are very few who believe, and they are the younger ones.

I think it's a bit sad - I would have liked a few more years!

I think a lot of children either pretend to believe or carry on the pretence just in case for a while. I know I did! I reckon I was 6 or maybe 7 when I stopped believing, and pretended until I was 9.

I'm not sure my five year old is entirely convinced...

My year 2 7 year old told me he doesn't believe in Santa last week. Was very matter of fact about him not being real.

For me no

Yes my youngest definitely still believed last year age 10.

She's says she still believes this year age 11 but I suspect she's just hedging her bets.

Eldest stopped believing about the same time.
