Quick question about the old Disana wool tie-on nappy system

You know the big knitted rectangle with long ties? What I want to know is, does it work as a wool wrap or is it just for holding a prefold in place under a wrap?
I've been given one to sell but I don't know enough about it!
Thanks for any help,
Liv

it can be used on a newborn without boosting but in my experiance only for a couple of weeks then it does need boosting i used muslins at first and then prefolds. My hubby still hasn't forgiven me for buying them and that was eight years ago because 1) trying to undo the wet ties can be a pain, 2)the ties get tangled when washing, 3) unless you spend time sorting out the legs they leak lots 5) they are impossible to put on a wriggly baby.
I did like the cute look when on and the speed at which they dry but would say it is a nappy for the serious nappy addict or real eco nappy enthusiast.

The other bonus is they are very cheap which was why i brought them and they made my prefolds workable as never able to use my prefolds in cotton bottoms wrap without it being a disaster, s cost of prefold and disana nappy was still less than buying motherease or tots bots etc.

I think a friend has been looking for these as a wrap - I'd thought they were just a nappy too. SO they are a wrap for newborns - yes?
