Had a cold that son was unwell and been vomiting in nursery. He's two years old he's came back he's been his self playing however when he eat something he does vomit. How can I encourage him to just drink liquids because he's refusing liquids at the moment but he is playing and being his normal self already contacted the GP which stated to keep him hydrated and to keep him off food for a bit

Fruit ice lolly?

I hate sick bugs.

So you probably didn't need to contact GP at this stage.

All perfectly normal.

You might see a fever, he may get diarrhoea.

Likely to last 24-48 hours depending on what it is.

Strategically place sippy cups with water around the place. Ice in the water sometimes encourages mine to drink it.

If no more sick by tea time could try something like banana or dry toast.

Or freeze some apple juice and offer that as a lolly.

@chychyete I just Hate them!

It's good he is playing.

Hopefully it will be short and back to normal soon.

My daughter had this on Sunday night, sick 5 or 6 times and then back to normal. She just ate toast, bread rolls and plain pasta. She did have some of her dad's chocolate milkshake but that didn't stay down!
