3 Tummy bugs in 35 days - normal

DC is in P1 and has had 3 tummy bugs in 35 days?!?

He only ever had two stomach bugs in the whole 2 yrs at pre school with 26 kids.

is this normal?!? First one was locked on as they were seriously poorly with. The second was just diarrhoea no temp, no tummy ache totally fine, but went on for over a week on and off - he’s missed 7 days off school because of it.

Now it’s started again - one thing to note is that for a couple of days last time and this time before it started their poo looked quite grey and furry?!? Could the bug be a red herring and maybe something more chronic going on?

He may have developed temporary lactose intolerance as a result of the bug. Best thing to do is replace regular dairy with lactofree and see if there is an improvement. Also be wary of hidden lactose and milk products as ingredients in foods.
