Been eating corn for 1 hour?

I've give 19mth DS corn on the cob, with just a few corns on the cob. He's been in his high chair for 1 hour now and just chewing the cob now. Do you think that is safe, like he's not going to eat the hard part is he?

It's OK everyone, he's just thrown it away! I had a chew at the edge and the cud was pretty hard.

What I want to ask is anyone else given corn on the cob to under a 2 year old and were they ok just to chew on the hard cud bit?

DS is nearly 14months and had his first corn on the cob last week, with corn on. He loved it and it kept him entertained for ages!

brilliant idea! i'm adding that to my shopping list. our latest thing is giving dd (12mo) a whole pear in her high chair. entertains her for half hour or more!

Dd is 21 months as loves corn on the cob. Boiled, steamed, grilled, baked, bbq'd. Keeps her happy for ages.

Can't remember how old she was when she first had it - quite a while ago though.
