help nappy gurus - suddenly we're leaking almost every day

DD is 16 months and been in bamboozles almost since birth. And up till now, we've been fine. But now, all at once, she's drinking more and the nappy is getting saturated really quickly.

Soooo, is this something to do with my nappy care? Or do I just need a booster during the day as well as at night (no leaks at night, incidentally). And if so, which one is best, as I'll need to get some more. [sigh]

I hesitate to call myself a nappyguru , but I've needed to boost the bamboozles since DD3 was about 8 months, so you're doing bloody well. I find the fuzzi bunz microfibre boosters really good in bamboozles because they don't add much weight, or you could experiment with just a folded microfibre cloth? I have hemp boosters too, but find them too heavy and 'waddy' in bamboozles, likewise tots terry boosters.

yep think you need to boost!

are you in size 1 or 2 bamboozles? My bambinex are def slimmer fit than bamboozles and just as absorbant

what wrap are you using? is there a chance that your wrap needs 'stripping'? If you are using wool then clearly not, but worth a try

DS1's nappies have started leaking a lot recently too, but he is 2.7yo and I probably should be potty training him rather than trying to sort out his nappy leakages...

Even a size 3 tots bots doesn't last him longer than 2 hours at the moment .

Just grab a few value microfibre dishcloths when you are next passing an Asda or Tesco (3 for 89p). They fit very well inside a bamboozle if folded in to three (like you would a prefold), don't take much drying at all and don't take up much more space in your nappy bucket. They will give you a suprising amount of extra absorbancy for their size.

If you have no leaks at night using the same setup then it would sem it is just a lack of booster that is causing the problem - and yes, you have done well to get this far unboosted!
