Anyone else have DC prone to tummy bugs?

My DD has just turned 5. Last autumn/winter/spring period she had sickness bugs several times, I think it went September/November/February/April/early May and then after that we had absolute respite until October, no stomach problems at all, amazing. Her stomach bugs are always just tummy ache, throwing up a few times and then a very quick improvement after some food and utter resentment on our part that we still have to keep her home 48 hours for that.

Since starting school she's had a tummy bug in early October with obligatory 2 days off school. Then this week we've had a load of false alarms. On Saturday she woke up feeling sick and sat with the sick bowl for an hour before breakfast but nothing happened. Yesterday complaining of a bad tummy ache all the way home from school but didn't come to anything. Now this morning again nausea first thing but fine after breakfast. I'm so paranoid I don't know when our next 48 hours off school is coming! Has anyone else had DC similar to this? I found an old Mumsnet thread where someone asked how often primary school age DC get stomach bugs, and most people replied like "2 times in their life" which worried me 😞 I hope it gets better after a few years of school??
