Nursery bugs before giving birth?

I’m due in for an induction next week and I’m tempted to keep DS3 off nursery in the lead up to it. He goes Mon, Tues, Weds and I’m due in for induction on Weds.

There is a lot of illness there at the mo not excluding covid and head lice. Would be horrendous for all of us to be sick for labour but I feel concerned especially about DS3 being sick when the baby is first born and brought home.

I appreciate there will be constant bugs whilst at home and he goes to nursery, but the first week of a newborns life feels especially fragile.

What did you doing this situation?

I'd doubt you'd fall sick by Wednesday if your son brought a bug home on Monday or Tuesday. I had a really horrible chest infection when I had a planned section with my second though and it wasn't nice understand your feelings
Good luck

I'd keep him off tbh. I wouldn't want to risk getting unwell. Plus extra time with just you two.

On the other hand it could be your last chance to rest.

Tricky one

I would also keep him off. I had baby last Tuesday. Last Monday DD, 3.5 came down with a nasty cough / cold that is only just improving.

I have been paranoid the baby would get it. She's in school though so couldn't really keep her off before hand x
