Prefolds - Advice Please

I have borrowed a prefold to try out on my 8 month old son. Initially I am impressed - excellent absorbancy & dries quickly.

Not as easy to fit as a shaped nappy but this doesnt bother me too much.

I did find that the velcro on my Motherease Rikki wrap was rubbing his tummy so I overcome this by making an extra long fleece liner & folding it over the front of the wrap & securing with the velcro tabs.

However I am wondering how good prefolds are on babies once they start crawling/walking. Do they stay in place??

Thanks

hi i have used pre-folds on my dd since she was 2 weeks old and have never had them wandering away, and she commando crawled from5-8 months, so would have expected that if anything would move them that would be the time. she's now 22 months old and we still using them with no probs.
the only prob i had was in the summer she kept taking them off!
i also found the motherease wraps rubbed, so i started using the jumior joy ones and they are my fav now, seem much more comfortable for her

thanks for your advice - I will check out Junior Joy wraps.

Can you recommend a particular prefold manufacturer? The one I've got is a Bambineo Mio but noticed that Junior Joy's prefolds are half the price.

Used prefolds for both mine-from birth to potty training with DD and from birth until our washing machine died with DS! No problems with crawling or walking.

Must admit when DD was tiny (5 years ago) we used a laundry service who tried Junior Joy and they were rubbish but they may have changed in the past few years. I used Pro-rap for both DD and DS and found them to be brilliant - was still using some of same ones for DS so they had had 3 years use

I used Bambino Mio that I got from ebay. Others may be cheaper but may not be as thick and therefore a waste of money.

I have just sorted out all my pre-folds and wraps to sell. If you are interested CAT me
