Ghost "sightings"

My ten year old sensible daughter has said that she has seen a person and footsteps and once a face. She has mentioned three separate occasions. Once this morning once a couple of years ago and another time apparently in the summer.
I don't believe in ghosts but it's hard not to believe that she sees something. I have said that the mind can play tricks and reassured her that we live in a friendly safe house.
What would you say?

I think I would tell her she was safe in the house. Was she upset?

I would explain more about what it might have been: the way houses make noises, how we are primed to see faces….

Thanks both. Will do that. She is ok but has spooked her younger sister.
