My toddler has one very red cheek.

Hi all,

As it says in the title my 20 month old son has one very red cheek with a couple of spots. He has a runny nose and a bit of a gunky eye on the same side but otherwise seems fine. He has no fever and is eating, sleeping and playing like his usual self. I’m hoping it’s a sign of back teeth coming through and not something like slapped cheek because I’m 21 weeks pregnant and heard it’s dangerous for pregnant woman. Mildly panicking - any advice would be great.

My daughter had this as a toddler and it was slapped cheek. A sort of virus that presents itself with a bright red sometimes hot cheek.

Hope they don't feel too unwell x

Sorry just read the rest of your post, definitely go to the doctor with little one I remember keeping my dd away from my pregnant cousin at the time.

You need to see a dr because that sounds like slapped cheek
