Do you take your kids to one every year?

My first is turning 4 soon and we’ve taken him to some sort of grotto experience for the last 2 years. Legoland and a local one.

I’m now 38 weeks pregnant, haven’t booked a grotto, and wondering whether to bother. I certainly didn’t go every year when I was little! The magic was in Christmas Eve.

We still have other things planned, woodland light up trails and Christmas lights in London etc

Feeling mum guilt though!

We've done one every year for my 5yo but tbh I like changing them every year and seeing what the different ones are like. Some years we'll do more than one! I think it's free to see the Santa at Winter Wonderland and some days there's no entry so that would be free. Or check out some local community events, we've done some free Santa visits there (usually some volunteer and a simple choc gift but at that age they won't care). We're doing Willows Farm this year as I've heard it's good.

I didn't go to any paid ones as a kid but I think it was less of a thing then, and my parents couldn't have paid for it.
