Tummy pains DS 10

Hi, my ds 10 has had on off tummy pains for a couple of years now. Hardly ever, if at all, at weekends or school holidays but during a 'normal' school week (not every week) he can go into school in tears because of tummy pain. Sometimes the pain eases and he makes it through the day, sometimes I have to collect him early. The wellbeing lady at school has spoken to him on numerous occasions and can't identify what exactly is triggering these pains. DS is very in tune with his emotions and will tell us if something or someone has upset him but he can't really think of anything he's worried about or just doesn't like. Doctor's said potentially abdominal migraines but as I said above, he only gets them really on school days.
DS would rather just be at home but says he likes school and has a nice group of friends.

Calpol doesn't help a huge amount, it takes the edge off a little bit he says.

Any advice or ideas very welcome.
