Baby won’t go to anyone else

How normal is this and is this just a phase? DD is 7 months and is suddenly starting to cry if anyone else other than me or her dad hold her. She now won’t take a bottle from anyone else either. It started when she was poorly a couple of weeks ago and it seems to be persisting.

Anything I can do? My DS would go to anyone and only got clingy in toddlerhood so this is new to me. I love her dearly but we have a lot of family who are all going to want to see her at Christmas and selfishly it’s nice to get a break from holding her every now and again.

Let it be for a couple of weeks and then just start giving her to whoever she is most otherwise familiar with for a couple of minutes and build from there. She’ll quickly come out of it.

Pretty classic time for separation anxiety. Christmas might not be the ideal time to deal with it.

I’m having the same issue. From 3 months DD does not like being held by anyone but myself and their dad. It is worse when I am in the room and try and pass her to someone. How long does this last? She is 6 months now
