Switching from Kendamil?

Hi all,

I currently have a 5 month old baby who has been formula fed Kendamil since birth. He has been a sicky baby since he was born and numerous times I had asked my Health Visitor if this was normal and she had said babies are sick and it’s just something that happens, he will mature and it will improve. Anyway, fast forward to now, 5 months old and he is still sick after every feed which can range from immediately after even up to 2 hours later where he will burp and partially digested sick will come out. He loves to roll and be active however this makes it worse as he rolls onto his front and is sick. Sometimes I just need to lift him the wrong way and he burps and it sick. He also does it when being put into his car seat. My HV previously had said that all formulas are the same as relatives had been saying maybe the Kendamil was too rich for him. So, because they are apparently all the same we have tried to persevere. We asked about reflux and we were advised that babies are sick and as they mature their digestive system will to and medication isn’t always the way to go. I am at a loss. He can’t enjoy playtimes because he is always sick, I should mention however, he does seem I bothered by it. We have recently started offering small tastes of purées at lunch times which I thought may have helped but it hasn’t.

Long winded but I suppose my question is has anyone had any problems with Kendamil milk and have they changed formula and noticed and improvement?

thanks, a very stressed mum

Did you end up changing milk? Currently having issues with my 4 WO on Kendamil and being sick after every feed.

@Rosebay2023 there are so many threads about Kendamil not suiting sone babies. I think if your LO isn't happy on it, I'd just try another brand. Not Aptamil though as there seems to be a lot of threads about that one too Wink

Formula in the UK is very strictly regulated, the brands are the same. Have a look at this to compare or find out more https://www.firststepsnutrition.org/parents-carers
