10 month old does nothing!!

He doesn't clap, point, shake or nod his head, he can't crawl or pull up to stand, he can't cruise or bum shuffle. He can't wave, he doesn't really imitate. He doesn't really do anything! He's happy and smiley but he just does nothing.. when do I panic?

He's my second and my first was crawling, cruising, pulling up and clapping by now which is why I'm worried.. he also only has 2 teeth and his brother had 6 by now! He just seems so behind.

My first walked at 10months
my second never crawled only rolled and didn’t sit up unaided until over 9months old and only stayed walking at 19months…. Would never know now but if you have concerns speak to your health visitor.
It took a long time to stop me comparing my two they are complete chalk and cheese!

Does he sit? My second was lazy/content too because his older brother would entertain him and bring him all the things.

I would be more concerned about his social/communication development at this stage. I’d make an appointment with your health visitor.

I have a ten month old. A week ago I almost started a post exactly like yours. He’s my second and my first did everything at record speed! This one is very lazy 😂 he has just decided literally this week to learn how to sit up from lying down, crawl and pull to stand. Literally in the last couple of days and he’s almost 11 months.

He can wave but he doesn’t point or clap - I am working on clapping but he doesn’t seem to be getting it yet. He is otherwise a happy smiley boy. I have my 12 month appointment next week so will discuss the not clapping etc with her but I’m not too worried.

You’ll have your 9-12 month check soon, so maybe the health visitor will be able to advise. Mine only had two teeth at 10 months. She’s got six teeth, 5 weeks later

Although my now 14mo was cruising at 8 & walking at 10 he didn't get any teeth until he was 11mo and though he points and claps now he still doesn't wave yet. I think you should stop comparing to your first. One thing I've learned is that babies do things when they want, not when you do. Relax, you've got loads of time before you need to start worrying 😊
