Reflux or normal for a newborn?

Hi everyone, just looking for some advice!

DD is 5 days old and is eating really well. She’s having plenty of wet and soiled nappies. (Although her poo does seem like a yellow colour and is runny?)
she is formula fed and seems pretty much fine in the day taking her milk and burping. However on a night time she seems to not want to be put down on her back, she doesn’t really settle after a bottle unless I’m holding her and when she does go on her back she seems to be squirming etc to the point she ends up with hiccups. I’m burping regularly during feeds and after, although sometimes her wind just won’t come up! so could this be reflux or is it pretty normal?

My little boy was a lot like this (although it started a little after 5 days or so)

It could just be where is digestive system is maturing. My little one was so noisy when put on his back in his Moses. It does get better.

My little one did have reflux (but he was throwing up so it was a lot easier to spot)

I would take note of the symptoms you see and speak with your HV.

In the meantime it seems like your doing al the right things.

Hi @justmyluck1234 thank you for your reply! It’s reassuring that the noises seem to be normal. DD does be sick at times but it is minimal and not after every feed so I’m not sure if it’s just from when she hasn’t brought wind up etc?

Did you get an answer to this? My little boy is 4 weeks old and I'm really struggling with this with him
