Reflux?

So my baby is sinking 6oz bottles every 3 hours, he’s 7 weeks tomorrow and his birth weight was 8lb 6 and last week weighed 12lb 4. After every bottle he is just really unsettled and I just don’t think it’s hunger as he’s drinking A LOT! He is quite sick and the sick looks a bit like cottage cheese (sorry TMI) then it could be a few hours after feeding he is sick like water he is always like scrunching up after his feeds… he is on aptamil stage 1 and has been since born.

Does anyone know what this could be? Could it be reflux? Or anything else?

Reflux causes overeating. Drinking the milk provides comfort but it also causes reflux and pain so they want more and they get comfort but more reflux and more pain in a viscous cycle.
During one difficult relapse my daughter went from drinking 5oz over night to 20+ and she was desperate for more.
Drop back the feed by an oz it will be hard then assess again. Does you need to drop another oz and repeat until it's under control again. Speak to your GP about either gaviscon which will thicken the formula or omperazole which reduces the amount of acid the stomach produces.
Variflow teats can also help .

Sounds like reflux. Video / pic the vomit and scrunching episodes and go to the gp. In the meantime keep him upright for 20 minutes at least after a feed, tilt the cot, get a slow or variflow feet and swirl the formula to mix don't shake.

Dts had awful reflux and were medicated for over a year. They drink more because it
Eases the acid but that is only temporary.
