Is this bullying?

I have a DS in reception, he is best friends with a boy from nursery who is also in his class. The other boy is always a bit more dominant over my DS, the teacher has mentioned this also. I previously spoke to the teacher and asked that they encourage new friendships so My DS is not so reliant on this boy. My DS is young for the year and keen to please this little boy. Recently my DS has advised that the little boy told him "you have to do what I want to do" and that this little boy has told him he can't play with anyone else. I've spoken to DS but not sure if I should raise this with the teacher? Would this be considered bullying?

Your focus needs to be on your DS and boosting his confidence so he can assert himself

Yes I definitely want to help his confidence, he's recently started a football club outside of school, I was looking at a drama class but it's at the dame time as football! any other things to help his confidence?

You talking to him about how to deal with this boy

this boy isn’t bullying him

and you need to explain to your son that he’s bossy and that if your son doesn’t want to do something… then he needs to be say so

Good bed time chats
