Breastfeeding a baby with allergies

LO has bad eczema all over and a GP suggested she may be allergic to something in my diet. I’ve cut a bunch of things out for about a week and a half and seen no improvement. How long did it take for you? Some sources say the relief will be immediate, some say it can take 4-6 weeks. The GP told me I’d see a change within 24 hours of excluding the allergen from my diet.

We had a cows milk allergy and you could see an improvement within 4 or 5 days but baby was completely settled and happy and clear of eczema within 2 weeks. If that doesn't resolve the cows milk allergy then at that point considering removing soy possibly..there's various Facebook support groups for allergies which I found helpful to join

Cows milk protein and soya allergy here and we saw the difference in 7-10 days, but only slightly was a good 4 weeks before it was a really strong difference, can take a while for their gut to adjust
