3 year old struggling speech?

I have a 3 year old. She has really good speech. No concerns with words and she can speak sentences and get her ideas across.

Sometimes when she's tired or excited or upset she can't get past the first word in a sentence.¹ Like a stutter but not. So for example tonight she's tired so she is trying to ask me if she can go to bed.

And she's going
After, after, after, after trying to finish the sentence but she can't seem to get the words out. And then when she gets past the first word the rest of the sentence comes out really fast and jumbled.
I hope it makes sense. Is this normal?

Yes my now 4 year old was the same last year. He grew out of it within a few months, it was like his mouth couldn't catch up with his brain. His teacher did say if it lasts longer then a referral to SALT would be beneficial

Yes this is normal as long as it doesn't continue for too long. Mine all went through a phase like this but it didn't last more than a few months.

Yes exactly! It's like her brain and mouth aren't in sync. I have no concerns on her speech otherwise but nursery have mentioned it a couple of times and now I'm noticing it more.
