Christmas presents for baby

Hello,

I have a 2 month old and am thinking about Christmas gifts for him from myself and family. I'm trying to plan ahead and think of things he'll need in the next year, as well as toys he'll like to play with over the next year.

Any ideas welcome!

Thank you

My boy is 9 months now. So he has loved a jumperoo, and a walker he is just starting to use. Also I found out of those sit me up seats great, helped him learn to sit a bit supported.

what about a high chair and weaning things? Now he’s older mine likes tummy time so a toy that moves/lights up on the floor? Great for helping to learn to crawl etc. my boys favourite toys are this thing called dj bouncin beats, sings dances and lights up. Also loves some rubber remote controls from Amazon which he thinks are like tv remotes.

i have got mine a ball pool, some clothes 12-18, a new swimming costume which he would need, my mum and dad have got him a new pram for going on holiday next year (joolz aer) rather than the big bulky travel system pram.

I've got a 3 month old, family/friends have asked me what they can get and some ideas I've told them:

  • silicone weaning set (plate, bowl, spoon etc)
  • baby recipe/weaning book
  • bath toys for the big bath
  • sleepsuits for 6-9months
  • baby jumpers for 6-9 months
  • rattles, noisy toys, soft books, baby's first toys

And from me and my partner he's getting a few books that we loved when we were little.

hi there,

I will also have a 3month old this Christmas and I plan to get him a Jumperoo, clothes in next size up, nice bowls/spoons/sippys for when it’s time to wean, Ewan the sheep and maybe some teethers And books. He really doesn’t need anything though.. it’s more so his big brothers don’t wonder why he hasn’t gotten anything lol

Stacking cups are a gift that keeps on giving. DC still play with theirs in the bath and DD is nearly 7.

Also magformer things - shapes you can link up with magnets. Safe for babies and endlessly fascinating for anyone up to 100!

Jumperoo is great or perhaps one of the seats that help them learn to sit like a bumbo. Soft books, black and white contrast toys are good for that age. Stacking rings, projector night light x

Books (soft cloth ones, lift the flap and other books with things they can touch)

Teething toys or Lamaze sensory toys from around 3 months

Galt soft blocks, Fisher-Price Laugh & Learn Smart Stages Puppy, Stacking cups from around 6 months

Only buy the Jumperoo now if you have space to store it as it's huge and won't be need for awhile.

I’ve a 9 month old this Christmas. I’ve just wrapped the following:
fluffy hat
fluffy blanket
socks
xmas onesie
jangly activity lion
light up zebra toy
sensory hedgehog toy
Leapfrog picnic basket toy
That’s not my unicorn book with toy unicorn

During this present wrapping she was kicking off so I let her play with the jangly lion. Imagine her indignation when I then took it back from her to wrap up 😂Then she managed to grab one of the presents and rip the wrapping off again!

Edit: MIL has bought her a foam ball pit and grandMIL a bath toy. BIL had got her cardboard stacking blocks.

Another vote for the lamaze - our 6 month old loves captain calamari. She also loved a box of sensory toys someone got her.

In 2019 I gave birth right before Christmas and I didn't get my newborn anything 😅
But you could get a nice book and write a little message it in and that'll make it special forever.
