Where can I by a large terry nappy type square - asap?

It is for DD's Easter bunny art task for school, due in next week.

She wants to be a rag cloth bunny, we found instructions online. A face cloth, like it suggests, just isn't large enough.

I reckon a terry square - like my mum used to use for my sister - would be an ideal size and would work well.

But where can I buy one asap?

Thank you for your help!

they usually come in packs of 6, I got mine from mothercare 2 years ago was about £9

Hulababy · 11/03/2008 18:42

Really? I only need one!

Is there anywhere I can get just one a bit cheaper?

If you have CAT, and don't mind an old one, send me your address and I'll post you one.
I have white and pale blue

Couldn't you use an old hand towel, and cut it to size if it has to be square?

Hulababy · 11/03/2008 18:45

Really, that would be fab.

I'll CAT you for details and payment info, etc.

White please - we have to make a bunny

Our towels are too thick; I thought of thaat before and had a look. Flannet too small, and out cotton napkin didn't work.

I really can't charge you for a second hand terry nappy!

NAB3wishesfor2008 · 11/03/2008 18:51

I have some terry squares if you are still looking.

Hulababy · 11/03/2008 18:52

I really don't mind honest!

Why do children's school projects involve parents so much?!

I'll email you now (cat takes a while sometimes,) but if NABs are newer, takehers. I've just looked at all mine and the best one isstained. I seem too have used them all for polishing shoes. It has grey spots in one corner.

NAB3wishesfor2008 · 11/03/2008 19:03

Mine did 2.5 years so aren't lovely and soft anymore but they are white and the right size. Could sew two together maybe?

Hulababy · 11/03/2008 19:04

I just need a reasonable sized white square.

Needs to be turned into a bunny, through folding and the use of an elastic band!

Just grateful to recieve a square - don't mind where from.

Sounds complicated!

I'd take NABs. Mine have been general purpose cloths for 6 yrs now and none of hem is all white any more

Hulababy · 11/03/2008 19:10

Oh right, okay - I will send CAT to NAB. Feel free to ingnore my email reply

Nappy sent today. Should be with you tomorrow.

Hulababy · 13/03/2008 20:50

It arrived today, many thanks.

DD did get a bit confused to start with as, although she has seen cloth nappies, hadn't seen a terry square so I had to explain to her how it was used as a nappy first, lol!

Anyway it is now an Easter bunny, with face, cotton wool tail and a ribbin round it's neck. It is now drying and ready for an Easter egg

Thnaks again.

That is great! Did it work okay?

DontDreamItBeIt · 14/03/2008 08:45

I'm glad you got it sorted

Any chnce of a picture of the finished work? I can't imagine how it is done.

Hulababy · 14/03/2008 10:11

I will try and take one.

You get a big square and fold it corner to corner to make a triangle.

Then startung with the pointy end, roll tightly.

Then fold the rolled sausage shape in half.

Then fold in half again.

Put an elastic band round the piece with second fold to make the head.

Fluff up ears.

Add face and cotton tail.
