Playdates

My eldest has recently started school and we are starting to be invited to more play dates with classmates. Often these are arranged over WhatsApp and I don't know the other parent well.

I am definitely overthinking it but would you take anything with you to a playdate at someones house? A little gesture for the host? Conscious I don't know them at all so they may not appreciate certain snacks for their kids etc. For a dinner party I would normally go for flowers but feels a bit much for a playdate maybe.

Thanks in advance!

I often take a pack of biscuits or something if it’s over snack time.

If you're staying then probably something small. I'm a hobby baker, so I seize any opportunity to offload give away a cake with both hands!

Are you staying for the playdate? It would be a good way to get to know the other parent. If do maybe bring some biscuits or buns?

Thanks all! Had one this afternoon and took some grown up snacks for parents to enjoy when we weren't there! Def will bring a small something again if staying
