Hi All,

I’m very new to these boards but I’m looking for some advice if anyone can help! It’s quite a complex one.

My Child told me and others that her father had hit her, SS became involved and have advised that contact should continue as normal providing he signs a form to say he won’t do it again in the future.

Feeling very confused as imagined that supervised contact would be suggested. Hes also denied ever hitting out so I’m concerned it will happen again as he doesn’t take accountability for his actions. Every time he has hit her she has said he tells her that she deserved it.

I feel stuck as I know I’ll be over ruled if I challenge this.

This will be because when social care asked the child about the physical abuse, they did not make a disclosure. Or appeared to have been coached.

You need to go to court to change child arrangements orders, not social care.

How ridiculous!! Where is the support and care for the child???
Sign something to day he won't do it again. Isn't once enough for a red flag????
