5month old baby crying at FIL

My DS has recently started screaming as soon as he sees my FIL. He only has to walk in the room and as soon as he sees him we have full on tears/bottom lip and everything. He has had regular contact with all grandparents and until the last 2 weeks has been fine with FIL. Im just wondering if anyone has experienced similar? It seems to of come out of nowhere and i can tell it has upset him which then makes me feel bad.

Has fil changed his image, new glasses/facial hair sort of thing? Dn used to get really upset when they saw anyone with a beard, no rhyme or reason to it.

@PortalooSunset no he hasn't changed anything, he has facial hair but so does his dad. Hes always super lovely with him, playful, making silly noises, pulling funny faces but he is so upset when he seems him i dont understand it

18mo still does the same thing with her dad on a daily basis. If he so much as walks into the room or smiles at her if she's walked into a room he's already in, she'll immediately start crying and come running to me 🤷 I'm none the wiser still

My eldest did this with her uncle. He was able to soothe her ro sleep all the time until she was about that age and wouldn't even look at him. Covid hit just after she turned 1, but after lockdown he was back to being the best thing since sliced bread.

My DD went through this too, not just with FIL but with my dad too. Now they are her favourite people ever!
